“About the Cards:
The twelve court cards, created by renowned Black artist, Ann Miller Woodford, vividly illustrate the gentle beauty of classic African features: proud warriors and courageous women form a composite portrait representing many African tribes, from Ibo to Bantu.

“About the Artist:
Her style is sensitive, her skills are numerous, and her talents are recognized nationwide.  Since childhood, Ms. Woodford has been the recipient of many awards, honors and scholarships.  She attended Ohio University, graduating Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts.  During her career she has applied her talents in many areas, including designs for greeting cards, stationery and a cookbook.  African Heritage Playing Cards are the realization of an idea she had several years ago.  What was once a dream is now a reality and we are proud of the part we have played in seeing her concept, her design, become a one-of-a-kind collector’s item.”
